2021

This project was supported by Kio-A-Thau(Qiaotou) Sugar Refinery Artist Village

IN/VISIBLE is a series of artworks created during the 2-month art residency program at Kio-A-Thau(Qiaotou)Sugar Refinery Artist Village in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. While working in a 120 years old historical sugar factory, We focused on creating 3D sculptures with sugar crystals bound to 3D-printed plastic (PLA), and an "Aburidashi" drawing using customized sugar ink. Many of the motifs in the artwork were inspired by the old history of Qiaotou, which dates back to the Japanese colonial period.
